Tell us about your professional role:
I recently joined the Clinical Informatics Team at Carilion Clinic as a Business Analyst and I love it!! Our team's role in a nutshell is to be a liaison between the customer, the training team, and the analyst by providing efficient workflows and support to the customer. Carilion is an amazing place to work! They really care about their employees and provide a lot of room for growth within the company. In the professional world, I am constantly striving to become my best professional self by always looking for ways to improve and better myself professionally.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
When I’m not working, I tend to spend time doing homework, reading, watching Netflix, participating in church activities with the youth and spending time with my family and friends.
Who or what inspires you? I am inspired most by my grandmothers. They both are the epitome of strong, African American women. They both have instilled many principles and life lessons in me that I will cherish and continue to execute and hopefully pass down to my children.
What's something about not many people know? A fun fact about me that not many people know is that I love to read in my spare time!
Why did you join YPCV? I joined YPCV to develop a relationship with other young professionals in the community and I hope that I will be able to inspire other young professionals to join as well!
